Role overview

NUWARD, an EDF subsidiary, is seeking a Construction Site Preparation & Methods Manager to join their team in Rhône, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This full-time, onsite position focuses on planning and methodology for small modular reactor (SMR) construction projects. NUWARD is developing innovative low-carbon nuclear energy solutions to combat climate change and provide competitive electricity and heat for industrial and urban clients.

This role is based in Rhône, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France, and is an onsite position. The position is full-time and permanent. Salary details are available in the employer description. You will work on cutting-edge SMR technology with a modular, prefabricated design, contributing to the global transition to low-carbon energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement construction site preparation strategies for SMR projects
  • Define and optimize construction methods and workflows for modular reactor installations
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety and quality standards
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and technical documentation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction planning or project methods engineering
  • Strong knowledge of industrial or energy sector construction processes
  • Experience with modular or prefabricated construction techniques preferred
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Fluency in French required; English is a plus
