Role overview
AppDesk Services is hiring a Lead API Integration Support Specialist to own and scale the API integration support function for merchants using the payment gateway platform. This is a full-time, remote role based in India for a senior technical professional with 6โ10 years of experience in API support, payment systems, and team leadership. You will serve as the primary technical contact for merchant integrations across web and mobile, troubleshoot complex API issues, and mentor a growing support engineering team.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and merchant success teams to ensure seamless payment gateway integrations, reduce time-to-live for new merchants, and build scalable support processes.
Responsibilities
- Own the API integration support function and serve as senior technical contact for merchants
- Help merchants implement payment flows on web and mobile applications
- Debug complex API issues and provide reliable technical guidance throughout integration
- Lead, mentor, and grow the API support engineering team
- Build scalable support processes and documentation for payment gateway integrations
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve API developer experience
Requirements
- 6โ10 years of experience in API support, technical support, or integration engineering
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and payment gateway integrations
- Proven experience debugging API issues across web and mobile platforms
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with technical support teams
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Experience with payment systems or fintech platforms is a strong plus
