This leadership role requires Australian security clearance eligibility and experience working with government agencies on sensitive national programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead data engineering initiatives for Defence and national security programs
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines for Commonwealth agencies
- Collaborate with government stakeholders on nationally significant projects
- Mentor and guide data engineering teams on complex infrastructure programs
- Ensure data solutions meet security and compliance requirements
Requirements
- 7-10 years of data engineering experience with leadership responsibilities
- Eligibility for Australian security clearance (essential)
- Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Proven experience with ETL pipelines and big data technologies
- Background working with government or Defence sector preferred
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
