This is a Full-time, Onsite role based in Saint Augustine, St. Johns County, Florida. The position requires relocation to the area and on-site presence to lead hospital startup activities. The Medical Director will work closely with clinical staff, administrative teams, and community partners to establish a high-quality behavioral health service line focused on addiction psychiatry and inpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the launch and development of the inpatient psychiatric program
- Oversee startup operations and clinical planning prior to hospital opening
- Provide direct inpatient psychiatric care with a focus on addiction medicine
- Establish clinical protocols and quality standards for behavioral health services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build a comprehensive care model
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Experience in addiction medicine and inpatient psychiatric care
- Proven leadership in clinical program development or medical direction
- Active or eligible medical license in Florida
- Ability to start prior to late summer hospital opening date
