This is a Full-time, Onsite position based in The City, Central London. The salary is up to £95,000 plus bonus. You'll be part of a senior engineering team developing mission-critical underwriting systems that process large-scale data for global insurance operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Python and FastAPI for insurance calculation platform
- Build and optimize complex SQL queries and data pipelines with Databricks
- Architect scalable SaaS solutions for Cyber Security insurance underwriting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance data-centric features
- Maintain and enhance existing backend systems supporting global insurance operations
Requirements
- Strong commercial Python development experience with FastAPI framework
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with Databricks or similar data platforms
- Proven backend engineering experience building scalable SaaS applications
- Data-centric development mindset with focus on performance and reliability
- Experience in insurance, fintech, or regulated industries is advantageous
