This is a full-time, onsite position based in Nepean, Ottawa region. The Scrum Master will facilitate agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and contribute to software development efforts. You'll work within a collaborative environment that values bold innovation and impactful delivery. The role requires strong communication skills, agile methodology expertise, and software engineering knowledge to bridge technical and process leadership.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
- Remove impediments and enable team productivity across development cycles
- Coach teams on agile best practices and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with product owners to manage and prioritize backlogs
- Contribute to software engineering tasks and technical discussions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in software development environments
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and frameworks
- Software engineering or development background required
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- CSM or PSM certification preferred
- Ability to obtain security clearance for defence projects
