Role overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable backend systems and APIs using TypeScript/Node.js and AWS. The ideal candidate will work across the full stack (backend-focused) and leverage cloud technologies like Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and serverless architectures. Exposure to frontend technologies like React is a plus.
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per year Location: Ladywood, Birmingham
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems using TypeScript/Node.js
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs with AWS Lambda and API Gateway
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerize applications with Docker
Requirements
- Strong experience as Software Engineer/Full Stack/Backend Engineer
- Hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
- Proven API development and backend system design skills
