Role overview

ECS is looking for a skilled Application Programmer to support the NIH NIAID Enabling and Advancing Technologies (NEAT) program. In this role, you will focus on cloud-related application and infrastructure migration and modernization efforts, ensuring the stability and scalability of NIH enterprise applications.

This is a Full-time, Remote position based out of Hampton Roads, Hampton City. This is not an internship. The offered salary for this position is 233,196 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Support cloud-related application and infrastructure migration efforts for NIH NIAID.
  • Develop, support, and maintain enterprise applications within the NEAT program.
  • Implement modernization strategies to improve application performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment of cloud services.
  • Provide technical expertise in migrating legacy systems to modern cloud environments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Application Programmer with a focus on cloud technologies.
  • Active security clearance is required for this position.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and application modernization patterns.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise software development services.
