Spheric, Inc is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the scalable backend systems that power our AI-driven hiring platform, ensuring efficient candidate analysis and automated interview processes.

This is a Full-time, Remote position based out of Glendale, Denver. This role is not an internship. The offered salary for this position is 150,548 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support the AI platform.
  • Optimize system performance to handle high volumes of candidate data and AI interviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve user experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure platform stability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar software development role.
  • Strong proficiency in modern backend languages and framework architectures.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and database schemas.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with AI integration or machine learning pipelines is a plus.
