Role overview
Mindrift is seeking a skilled Chatbot Developer to join the Tendem project. In this role, known as an AI Pilot, you will design and build conversational bots and messaging platform integrations within a hybrid AI-human environment. You will collaborate with Tendem Agents to implement sophisticated bot engineering and conversational design to enhance user interactions.

This is a Freelance position based in Austin, Travis County. The role is Remote, allowing you to work from your own location. This is not an internship. The offered salary is 85,849 USD per year.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy conversational bots using WhatsApp Business, Telegram, and Discord APIs.
- Design intuitive conversational flows and user journeys for AI-driven messaging platforms.
- Collaborate with Tendem Agents to automate repetitive tasks through bot engineering.
- Ensure high-quality output and performance of integrations within the hybrid AI environment.
- Iterate on bot functionality based on user feedback and quality control metrics.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing bots for WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord platforms.
- Strong understanding of API integration and asynchronous messaging architectures.
- Ability to apply conversational design principles to create natural user experiences.
- Experience working with AI models or hybrid AI-human workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical implementations.
