Role overview

GovCIO is seeking a skilled Mid-Senior React/Redux Frontend Developer to drive feature development and modernize the architecture of VA.gov applications. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to improve the digital experience for veterans through scalable and accessible frontend solutions.

Job details

This is a Full-time, fully Remote position available to candidates across the United States, based nominally out of Topeka, Shawnee County. This is not an Internship. The offered salary for this position is 136,242 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new features for VA.gov using React and Redux.
  • Modernize existing frontend architecture to improve performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user interfaces.
  • Ensure application accessibility and compliance with government digital standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Frontend Developer specializing in React and Redux.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience working with complex, large-scale web applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust suitability clearance.
  • Strong understanding of state management and component-based architecture.
