Job details
This is a Full-time, permanent position based in Cambridgeshire, Eastern England. The role is Remote (Home-based) but requires regular travel to customer sites across the Midlands, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, and Cambridgeshire, with occasional visits to Northern Ireland. This is not an Internship. The salary range for this position is £50,000 - £60,000 GBP per year.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize PLC software for complex industrial process control systems
- Conduct on-site commissioning and testing at various customer locations
- Collaborate with the automation team to design innovative engineering solutions
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing automation installations
- Create detailed technical documentation for software architectures and system logic
Requirements
- Proven experience as a PLC Software Engineer or in a similar automation role
- Strong proficiency in programming industrial controllers and HMI systems
- Ability to travel frequently to client sites across the UK and Northern Ireland
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving approach to system integration
