This is a Full-time, Remote position based out of Winnersh, Wokingham, UK. This is not an Internship. The offered salary for this role is 45,575 GBP.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable infrastructure for connected aviation services.
- Develop and maintain automated tooling to improve system observability and reduce operational toil.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Establish SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to maintain high service availability standards.
- Provide expert-level technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and senior engineers.
- Manage incident response and conduct blameless post-mortems to prevent recurring system failures.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps within a large-scale production environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
- Deep proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Strong expertise in container orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes.
- Advanced knowledge of monitoring and logging frameworks like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
