Role overview

Oracle is seeking a Principal Software Developer to lead the creation of production-grade AI systems within the Healthcare AI domain. This role focuses on building agentic AI architectures that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), memory, and sophisticated orchestration to solve complex business challenges in the healthcare sector.

This is a full-time, remote position based out of Sacramento, California. This is not an internship. The offered salary for this role is 196,569 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy production-grade AI systems powered by LLMs and enterprise data.
  • Build agentic AI systems utilizing tool use, memory, planning, and workflow automation.
  • Design scalable RAG, search, retrieval, and ranking systems for structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop advanced LLM-powered applications including sophisticated prompt engineering.
  • Operate and maintain AI infrastructure to ensure stability and performance in healthcare settings.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software development with a focus on AI and Machine Learning.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing RAG and knowledge retrieval systems.
  • Deep understanding of LLM orchestration and agentic workflows.
