Job details
This is a Full-time, 6-month Fixed Term Contract based in Reading, Berkshire. The role is Remote (98%), requiring attendance at the office on the first day and once per quarter. This position is not an internship. The salary for this contract is £50,000 GBP.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with the client delivery team to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to ensure high-quality releases.
- Implement automated regression tests to reduce manual testing effort.
- Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and the Playwright framework.
- Experience working within a software engineering consultancy or agile environment.
- Ability to design scalable test architectures for complex web applications.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance best practices.
