Vic.ai is seeking a Senior Elixir Engineer to help build and scale an autonomous finance platform for modern enterprises. In this role, you will leverage advanced AI and machine learning to automate accounts payable workflows and eliminate manual invoice processing for global organizations.

This is a Full-time, Remote position based out of New York City, New York. This role is not an internship. The offered salary for this position is 101,941 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable backend services using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
  • Collaborate with AI and machine learning teams to integrate autonomous finance workflows.
  • Optimize system performance to handle hundreds of millions of annual invoice processes.
  • Maintain high code quality through rigorous testing and peer code reviews.
  • Architect robust distributed systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience developing production applications with Elixir.
  • Strong understanding of the Erlang VM (BEAM) and OTP principles.
  • Proven track record of building scalable backend architectures for enterprise software.
  • Experience working with relational databases and optimizing complex queries.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced engineering environment.
