Role overview

nextSource is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer for a long-term contract position. This role focuses on building scalable serverless applications using a modern AWS ecosystem and Node.js. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust backend services and seamless frontend integrations to support enterprise-level functionality.

Job details

This is a Remote, Full-time contract position based in the US. This role is not an internship. The annual salary range for this contract is 166,400 USD to 187,200 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and Node.js.
  • Design and optimize NoSQL database schemas using AWS DynamoDB.
  • Implement asynchronous messaging patterns utilizing AWS SNS and SQS.
  • Write clean, maintainable JavaScript ES6 code following industry best practices.
  • Manage cloud storage solutions and data persistence using AWS S3.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software features.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience in Full Stack development with a focus on Node.js.
  • Advanced proficiency in AWS services including Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Strong command of JavaScript ES6 and modern asynchronous programming.
  • Proven experience implementing event-driven architectures with SNS and SQS.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with cloud-native application design.
