Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security protocols for the Add-ons ecosystem to prevent malicious software distribution.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of operational infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents affecting the browser extensions platform.
- Analyze emerging threats and develop automated tools to detect potential security risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar cybersecurity role.
- Deep understanding of web security standards, browser internals, and common attack vectors.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages used for security automation and analysis.
- Experience managing security operations in a large-scale, public-facing environment.
- Ability to communicate complex security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
