Role overview

Sangoma is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the UCaaS division. In this leadership role, you will move beyond simple delivery oversight to drive high-impact technical outcomes, managing a team of engineers to build scalable communication technology. You will be responsible for aligning technical execution with business goals to ensure the growth of our unified communications platforms.

This is a Full-time position based in Toronto, Ontario, operating as a Remote role. This is not an Internship. The salary range for this position is 145,000 CAD to 160,000 CAD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality UCaaS solutions.
  • Take full ownership of technical outcomes and product delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define product roadmaps and requirements.
  • Drive architectural decisions to ensure system scalability and reliability.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous professional growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead in a software environment.
  • Strong background in UCaaS, CCaaS, or VoIP technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex delivery cycles and technical debt.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and engineers.
  • Experience leading remote or distributed engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of backend development and scalable cloud infrastructure.
