This is a full-time, fully remote position based out of Madison, Dane County. This role is not an internship. The offered salary is 172,462 USD. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day technical direction and architectural decisions for the engineering team.
- Set and enforce high engineering standards and best practices across the development lifecycle.
- Lead the design and implementation of a secure, event-driven digital submission platform.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate federal agency requirements into technical specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
- Strong expertise in building scalable, event-driven software architectures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Public Trust clearance.
- Extensive experience in professional software engineering and system design.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating between technical teams and clients.
