This is a 12-month contract role with potential for extension, working 40 hours per week remotely. The position is W2 employment only, offering a competitive hourly rate of $60-80 DOE. Candidates must be available to collaborate with teams based in Menlo Park and possess strong WordPress development expertise including custom theme and plugin development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-traffic WordPress websites and properties
- Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
- Optimize site performance, speed, and scalability
- Collaborate with U.S.-based technology teams remotely
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress technical issues
- Implement best practices for WordPress security and maintenance
Requirements
- 4-7 years of professional WordPress development experience
- Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proven track record building custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Experience with high-traffic WordPress site optimization
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Eligible for W2 employment in the United States
