Technical Support

Business Systems Engineer, Tech Foundations

Airbnb · Company

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join

AirSupport is Airbnb’s global IT Support organization, focused on helping employees stay productive and get the technology support they need. Our goal isn’t simply to handle tickets better — it’s to make more of them unnecessary. We’re transforming the employee support experience by using data, AI, and automation to remove friction, enable seamless self-service, and deliver high-fidelity human support when it’s needed.

You will join the team responsible for shaping the IT self-service experience, working closely with partners across Product, Engineering, Knowledge, and our global IT Support organization.

The Difference You Will Make

We are looking for a Business Systems Engineer within IT Support, focused on the design and delivery of capabilities that improve how employees get technology help. You will bring a deep understanding of IT Support workflows, employee journeys, operational signals, and business needs to our partnerships with Product, Engineering, and other technology teams, turning them into clear requirements and effective solutions.

Your initial focus will be advancing the next generation of AI-enabled and conversational self-service for IT support use cases. You will own the definition of requirements and success criteria for your areas of responsibility, working directly with the teams responsible for broader enterprise AI capabilities to ensure IT Support needs are understood and effectively delivered.

We are looking for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution — someone who asks why, challenges assumptions, understands system dependencies, and brings clarity to ambiguous problems.

A Typical Day

  • Own defined IT self-service features and delivery workstreams, translating business needs into requirements and driving them through design, testing, launch, and ongoing improvement.

  • Translate IT Support strategy and priorities into functional and technical requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.

  • Work directly with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to align on requirements, solution design, delivery timelines, testing, and readiness for changes within your area of ownership.

  • Analyze potential self-service use cases and recommend improvements based on employee impact, operational needs, available data, and technical considerations.

  • Apply practical AI and conversational technology expertise to evaluate self-service experiences for accuracy, failure patterns, and appropriate escalation or handoff to human support.

  • Define and monitor success measures for the capabilities you support, using product data, employee feedback, and operational signals to identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the systems supporting the IT self-service experience, including integrations, APIs, data flows, identity and permissions, automation, and platform dependencies; identify risks, interdependencies, and relevant security and privacy considerations, and partner with technical teams on appropriate solutions.

  • Partner with the Strategic Knowledge program to ensure self-service solutions effectively leverage the knowledge ecosystem and account for the dependencies needed to deliver accurate, useful employee experiences.

  • Identify patterns across unsuccessful or incomplete self-service interactions and recommend improvements across product functionality, processes, workflows, or knowledge.

  • Independently create clear functional and technical artifacts that support effective delivery, including requirements, solution designs, process flows, test plans, and decision documentation.

  • Build strong relationships across technical and non-technical partners, manage expectations, surface risks or roadblocks, and collaborate across our global IT Support organization to deliver consistent experiences.

Your Expertise

  • 7+ years of professional experience in business systems analysis, technical product delivery, systems engineering, solution design, IT consulting, product operations, or a related technology role.

  • 2+ years of direct experience delivering AI-enabled or conversational experiences in an enterprise environment, including Generative AI, virtual agents or chatbots, intelligent agents, AI-enabled automation, or comparable technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience owning meaningful features or workstreams within cross-functional technology initiatives, including requirements, design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience translating complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements and creating artifacts that enable Product and Engineering teams to execute effectively.

  • Strong systems thinking and technical fluency, with the ability to understand integrations, APIs, data flows, identity and permissions, automation, and application dependencies, and contribute effectively to solution design and implementation.

  • Experience working in enterprise IT, employee technology, IT service management, or a comparable internal business-systems environment, with a strong understanding of business processes, enterprise workflows, service-management platforms, and integrated systems.

  • Experience with enterprise self-service, knowledge, search, retrieval, or content-management capabilities and an understanding of how knowledge quality, structure, and access affect AI-enabled and self-service experiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, understand root causes, evaluate options, and make well-supported recommendations within your area of ownership.

  • Proven ability to build trust, manage expectations, and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders, including across distributed or global teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to independently create clear, actionable functional and technical documentation.

Lead Platform Manager, Tech Foundations

Airbnb · Company

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join

Airbnb is a vision- and mission-driven company. Our Product Managers embody this culture and mindset. They imagine the ideal end state for our community (guests and hosts) and work backward from it, challenging current assumptions. They champion winning strategies, leverage metrics to track progress, and partner with talented cross-functional teammates (engineering, design, data science, and more). Highly hands-on, they are never afraid to roll up their sleeves to deliver the right outcome for our community. If you’re excited to help us create a world where anyone can belong anywhere, we’d love to meet you.

The Difference You Will Make

As a Lead Product Manager for Developer Productivity, you will own the product areas developers rely on, and you will own something harder: the end-to-end workflows that determine how productive our engineers actually are. Those workflows cross organizational boundaries — a single developer journey can touch other parts of the infrastructure, reliability, developer experience, and security. Your job is to understand the end-to-end developer journey, find where it breaks, and drive the work to fix it whether or not the fix lives in your teams.

You will define what developer productivity means at Airbnb, instrument it, and be accountable for moving it. In collaboration with business stakeholders, product marketing, and technical program managers, you will help shape the roadmap for these products, with an emphasis on bringing together disparate offerings into a cohesive infrastructure roadmap. This will include the creation and ownership of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to inform technical decisions. You will also partner with engineers, designers, data scientists, and field-operations teams to scale our solutions across existing and emerging business segments, ensuring a cohesive system view.

A Typical Day

  • Establish product vision and northstar for your area, and connect it into the broader developer productivity strategy

  • Own cross-cutting developer workflows end to end — mapping where they break across pillars like App & Cloud Infra, Reliability Engineering, and Developer Experience, and driving the changes that improve them

  • Define how we measure developer productivity: build the metrics, instrumentation, and qualitative research that tell us whether engineers' lives are actually getting better

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, TPM, and Data Science to understand goals and establish success criteria with clearly measurable objectives and key results

  • Develop the product roadmap, and get alignment on prioritization and timelines to meet business goals

  • Influence teams you don't own — build the case, bring the data, and get other groups to prioritize developer productivity work alongside their own roadmaps

  • Develop a deep understanding of how Airbnb's engineers work day to day, and of the technical architecture underneath, to build and improve products that fit into real workflows rather than around them

  • Execute efficiently to ship products and deliver impact for our business and users.

  • Lead cross-functional groups to fulfill the team’s mission, acting as the system voice.

  • Communicate concisely and influence outcomes at all levels of the organization, demonstrating strong executive presence.

Your Expertise

  • 10+ years of product management experience building tools and platforms for technical users — developer tooling, infrastructure, or platform products

  • Track record of improving developer or engineering productivity, with the measurements to prove it

  • Experience defining and operationalizing metrics for hard-to-quantify outcomes — when quantitative metrics are needed and matter, and when qualitative metrics may or may not be more impactful

  • Strong understanding of technical architecture for complex and highly scalable systems, and of modern AI-powered developer workflows: AI-assisted development, code review, CI/CD, build systems, testing, deployment

  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes across organizational boundaries without direct authority — influencing roadmaps you don't own

  • Ability to understand immediate and longer-term customer goals and needs, and build products that meet them

  • Entrepreneurial drive, and demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to align on a vision and product strategy

  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners at every level of the organization

  • Ability to prioritize and scope user requests and platform capabilities, balancing long-term vision against short-term pain points

  • Previous experience as a software engineer, or working extremely closely with engineering teams, is a strong plus

  • Familiarity with developer productivity research and frameworks (DORA, SPACE, DevEx) is a plus

  • Storytelling skills that connect the problem you’re solving to a compelling vision, coupled with a willingness to dive into the details.

Lead Advanced Analyst, Integrated Marketing

Airbnb · Company

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join

The Integrated Marketing Analyst sits within Marketing Analytics and serves as the measurement engine for Airbnb's cross-channel growth initiatives, spanning Search, Growth Media, Affiliates, and Guest Engagement across Homes, Experiences, Services, and Hotels, as well as emerging pilots. You'll partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Data Science, and Finance to prove incrementality and optimize investment across a fast-moving, test-and-learn portfolio.

The Difference You Will Make

You will be the dedicated analytics lead for cross-channel marketing strategies for new business lines (eg loyalty or Experiences & Services). You’ll start by owning all of the marketing work for Airbnb's new community and loyalty pilot program, as it scales through multiple phases of testing across international markets. You'll design the experiments that separate true program impact from individual campaign-level lift, and turn results into clear recommendations on what to scale, iterate, or stop. As the loyalty program testing cadence eases, you'll flex your capacity to support other Integrated Marketing priorities, bringing the same rigor to initiatives across Experiences, Hotels, and Luxe.

A Typical Day

  • Own measurement strategy: Design and lead the end-to-end measurement plan for a major loyalty/community pilot, including multi-arm testing across benefits, credits, and offers.

  • Design and analyze experiments: Owning experimentation end to end, write experiment plans and analyze the results.

  • Conducting analysis to deliver actionable insights: Surface findings on customer segments, timing, and creative performance that inform decisions on scaling the program and where to prioritize.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners: Partner with marketing, operations, finance, data science, and product to support a data-driven strategy for marketing, share results, and influence decisions through data.

  • Present to leadership: Deliver clear, decision-ready readouts to senior marketing and cross-functional leadership on program and campaign effectiveness.

  • Expand scope over time: As testing needs ease, apply the same experimentation approach to support other growth marketing priorities across additional lines of business.

Your Expertise

  • Experience: 6+ years in analytics or data science, with depth in marketing, growth, or lifecycle/loyalty analytics.

  • Experimentation expertise: Strong background in causal inference and designing experiments and holdouts for multi-touchpoint marketing programs.

  • Insights & Influence: A track record of insights that directly shape strategy, roadmaps, and budget decisions at a senior level.

  • Communication: Excellent ability to translate complex analytical trade-offs into clear, confident recommendations for senior, cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python or R, with experience working in large-scale data environments and building scalable reporting tools.

  • Modern toolkit: Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis and build scalable solutions.

  • Adaptability: Comfort operating with ambiguity across a fast-paced, evolving portfolio of initiatives spanning multiple business lines.

  • Education: Quantitative degree required.
