This is a Full-time position based in the United States. The role is fully Remote for candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS). This is not an Internship. The offered salary for this position is 172,689 USD.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails for VA.gov
- Develop and maintain robust APIs to support cross-functional frontend requirements
- Optimize system reliability and performance to ensure high availability of services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party services and internal tools
- Contribute to the development of AI-enabled features to improve user experience
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in backend engineering with Ruby on Rails
