Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user interfaces focusing exclusively on the front-end layer.
- Utilize and extend the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) to ensure consistency.
- Implement accessibility standards to ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines.
- Collaborate with the lead UX Architect to translate designs into functional code.
- Conduct accessibility audits and remediate UI issues to improve inclusivity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in front-end UI development.
- Proven expertise in utilizing or extending the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
- Deep knowledge of web accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, accessible user interfaces.
