Role overview

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. In this role, you will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application designed to process healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions. This is a professional opportunity for a developer skilled in Angular and NodeJS to contribute to critical healthcare infrastructure.

This is a Full-time position based in Lafayette Springs, Lafayette County, operating as a Remote role. This is not an internship. The offered salary range for this position is 85,389−85,389 - 116,975 USD. Candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
  • Design and implement scalable frontend components using Angular
  • Develop robust backend services and APIs using NodeJS
  • Support the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud environments
  • Collaborate with the VA department to ensure technical requirements are met
  • Ensure application security and compliance with Public Trust standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with Angular and NodeJS
  • Experience developing cloud-based web applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions is a plus
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and API integration
  • Professional experience in a mid-level development capacity
