Role overview

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. In this role, you will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application designed to process healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions. This is a professional opportunity for an experienced developer to contribute to critical healthcare infrastructure.

This is a Full-time position based in Boise, Ada County, but operates as a Remote role. This position is not an internship. The salary range for this role is 85,389−85,389 - 116,975 USD. Candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions.
  • Design and implement scalable frontend components using Angular.
  • Build robust backend services and APIs utilizing Node.js.
  • Support the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with the VA department to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure secure data processing.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in Full Stack development with Angular and Node.js.
  • Experience building and deploying cloud-based web applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or healthcare data standards.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
