Role overview

Trellis is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Team Lead to drive the development of the largest legal research platform for state trial courts in the US. In this leadership role, you will oversee the integration of large-scale data infrastructure with AI-powered analysis to make trial court research accessible and efficient. You will lead a talented engineering team to build scalable features that organize millions of cases and filings into a unified, searchable platform.

This is a Full-time, Remote position based in the US. This is not an internship. The offered salary for this role is 163,861 USD. As a lead professional in full-stack development, you will work across the entire stack to deliver high-impact legal tech solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers to deliver high-quality software features.
  • Architect and maintain scalable data infrastructure to handle millions of court filings.
  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate AI-powered analysis into the research platform.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle from technical design to deployment.
  • Ensure code quality through rigorous peer reviews and the implementation of best practices.
  • Optimize platform performance to ensure fast and accurate search results for users.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or Senior Full-Stack Developer in a professional setting.
