This is a full-time, remote position based out of Caversfield, Bicester. This role is not an internship. The annual salary range for this position is £76,000 - £85,000 GBP.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Oversee the integration of event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka or similar platforms.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers to ensure high coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and system architecture.
- Ensure the security and stability of applications within a government-regulated environment.
Requirements
- Active UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance or eligibility to apply (5+ years UK residency).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience of 5+ years.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java programming and the Spring Boot framework.
- Proven experience working with Kafka or similar distributed messaging systems.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of delivering complex software projects.
