This is a Full-time position based in Canada. The role operates in a Remote capacity and is not an Internship. The offered salary for this position is 176,000 CAD.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable database architectures using MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Optimize database performance and ensure high availability for production systems.
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to improve platform reliability.
- Implement automated backup, recovery, and monitoring solutions for data layers.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers on database best practices.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience as a Platform or Database Engineer.
- Deep technical expertise in managing MySQL and PostgreSQL at scale.
- Proven track record of optimizing query performance and database tuning.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and production environment stability.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first team environment.
