This is a Full-time, Remote position open to candidates based within the EU. The role is based out of County Antrim, Northern Ireland, but operates on a fully remote basis. This is not an internship. The salary range for this position is 60,000 GBP to 67,000 GBP.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and the Spring platform.
- Build and maintain robust REST APIs to support payment technology operations.
- Implement asynchronous messaging systems to ensure high system reliability.
- Collaborate within small, autonomous teams to drive technical outcomes.
- Contribute to the ongoing modernisation of the core Java platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java.
- Strong proficiency with the Spring Framework and backend architecture.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and messaging systems.
- Ability to work independently within a remote, outcome-driven environment.
- Must be legally based within the European Union (EU).
