This is a full-time, Remote position based out of Blue Hills, Hartford County. This is not an internship. The offered salary for this role is 210,371 USD.
Responsibilities
- Lead a Scrum team through the full software development lifecycle as a player-coach
- Allocate approximately 60% of time to leadership, architectural design, and team mentorship
- Dedicate 40% of time to hands-on coding and development of backend services
- Design and implement scalable microservices and robust API integrations
- Guide the team in adopting best practices for cloud infrastructure and deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Requirements
- Extensive experience in backend software engineering and system architecture
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams in an Agile or Scrum environment
- Strong proficiency in designing and managing microservices and RESTful APIs
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices
- Ability to balance high-level strategic design with detailed technical implementation
- Excellent communication skills for mentoring junior and mid-level developers
