Role overview

Avanti Recruitment is seeking a visionary CTO or Senior Engineering Leader for a PE-backed B2B SaaS business. This role is designed for a technical executive capable of taking full ownership of the engineering function to scale a cloud-based platform that manages business-critical operational and governance processes. You will lead the technical strategy for a product-led organization experiencing strong market demand.

Job details

This is a Full-time position based in Farringdon, Central London, operating on a Remote-first basis. This is not an Internship. The salary range for this leadership role is 100,000 GBP to 150,000 GBP.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the engineering function and define the long-term technical roadmap.
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality B2B SaaS features.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical growth with business objectives and PE goals.
  • Oversee the maintenance and evolution of the cloud-based software platform.
  • Drive engineering best practices to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Manage the technical budget and resource allocation for the development team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Senior Engineering Manager.
  • Extensive background in scaling B2B SaaS platforms in a cloud environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a private equity-backed business structure.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture and the full development lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing between technical teams and executives.
