This is a Remote, Contract position located in Bellevue, King County. This role is not an Internship. The salary for this position is 230,756 USD.
Responsibilities
- Perform deterministic nuclear safety analysis and transient accident modeling using RELAP5-3D or similar tools.
- Develop and document detailed system models to support U.S. NRC licensing submittals.
- Analyze Anticipated Operational Occurrences (AOOs) and Design Basis Accidents (DBAs).
- Support the creation of FSAR-style reporting and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure safety compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in nuclear safety analysis and transient modeling.
- Proficiency with RELAP5-3D or equivalent nuclear simulation software.
- Strong understanding of U.S. NRC licensing requirements and safety standards.
- Ability to analyze complex licensing-basis events and DBAs.
- Experience drafting technical reports in FSAR format.
