This is a Full-time, Remote position based out of Chilworth Science Park, Chilworth. This is not an internship. The offered salary range for this role is £69,000 - £109,000 GBP per year.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize high-performance server-side applications and APIs using Java
- Develop responsive and intuitive front-end components using React and JavaScript
- Design and maintain efficient database schemas in PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Implement containerization strategies using Docker for consistent deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile framework using Jira
- Ensure code quality through rigorous version control and peer reviews via Git
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience developing web applications in Java
- Strong proficiency in creating and consuming RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Proven expertise in front-end technologies including React, HTML, and CSS
- Experience working in Agile environments with Confluence and Jira
- Strong understanding of relational database management systems
