This is a full-time, remote position based in Richmond, City of Toronto, Ontario. This is not an internship. The successful candidate will work remotely to upgrade Oracle Database, Oracle APEX, and ORDS infrastructure. The annual salary for this position is 145,600 CAD.
Responsibilities
- Modernize and upgrade five mission-critical applications for the MECP
- Upgrade Oracle Database and Oracle APEX versions to current supported releases
- Configure and optimize Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) for seamless integration
- Manage and update Red Hat Linux infrastructure to replace end-of-life systems
- Ensure application stability and performance throughout the migration process
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements for modernization
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Database administration and PL/SQL development
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux server administration
- Proven track record of executing large-scale software evergreening projects
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment for government projects
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting legacy system dependencies
