This is a Remote, Full-time contract position based out of Menlo Park, San Mateo County. This role is not an internship. The compensation for this position is 97,213 USD per year depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-traffic WordPress websites for a leading technology client
- Build and optimize custom WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up
- Enhance site performance, loading speeds, and overall user experience
- Collaborate with a U.S.-based technology team to implement new features
- Ensure website security and stability through regular updates and monitoring
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Web Developer specializing in WordPress
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Expertise in creating custom themes and plugins without relying on heavy page builders
- Experience managing high-traffic websites and optimizing database queries
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on a W2 contract basis
