INTEC SELECT LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Team Lead to drive the delivery of modern software solutions for a major pensions client. This role operates at the intersection of financial modelling and modern engineering, focusing on the development of advanced platforms for forward-looking financial analysis. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise in Python and AI with leadership capabilities to guide a development team in a high-stakes financial services environment.

Job details

This is a Contract position based in London, UK, operating on a Remote basis with occasional travel to the London office. This role is not an internship. The offered salary range is GBP 169,000 to GBP 195,000 per annum (equivalent to £650 – £750 per day Outside IR35).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of modern software solutions for a major pensions client.
  • Oversee the integration of AI and financial modelling into core engineering platforms.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to a team of software engineers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and architectural standards.
  • Ensure the scalability and performance of high-complexity financial calculation engines.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience in Python development and software engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams in a professional services environment.
  • Strong background in financial modelling or experience within the pensions sector.
  • Practical experience implementing AI or machine learning solutions in production.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with occasional travel to London.
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing between technical teams and business clients.
