This is a full-time, remote position based in Deutschland (Germany). The role involves ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of database infrastructure that powers their open observability cloud platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain reliable database infrastructure for Grafana Cloud
- Implement SRE best practices for database systems at scale
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance and availability
- Build automation tools for database operations and incident response
- Collaborate with engineering teams on reliability and scalability improvements
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering or site reliability engineering experience
- Deep expertise in database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or similar
- Experience building monitoring and observability solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems
